About
Our Emmer (Khapli) Wheat is All Natural and is100% Organic. Emmer Wheat was one of the first cereal grains to be cultivated in the world from as early as 9700 BC. When the Green Revolution was initiated in the 1960s, high-yielding varieties of wheat were cultivated to increase food production in order to alleviate hunger and poverty. These were commercialised along with chemical fertilisers and are not the indigenous varieties that are home to India.
Emmer Wheat is one of the ancient strains of wheat cultivated till this date without any modification or chemical fertilisers using only ancient and organic means. Hence these grains retain their full uninhibited nutritional profile and have several health benefits because they contain more minerals and antioxidants. To use, simply substitute for regular wheat.
