Our Coffee Estate is located in Belur taluka, near Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka. For the last 35 years, we have been growing coffee here. We grow Arabica coffee amidst native trees and pepper vines. We do not use any chemical fertilisers and pesticides to help the plants grow; instead, we aim to strengthen the ecosystem by harnessing nature’s natural defence mechanisms (by creating a favourable ecosystem for predators) and ability to cycle nutrients (by catering to a healthy soil). As a result, our estate is rich with native trees, natural undergrowth, and a cacophony of sounds from myriad birds and insects, and the coffee plants are healthier, resulting in better coffee.

Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) is a premium coffee variety known for its smooth, mild flavour with floral and fruity notes. It contains less caffeine than Robusta and is prized for its nuanced taste.
2. How is Arabica Coffee Different from Robusta?
Arabica has a sweeter, more delicate flavour compared to Robusta, which is stronger and more bitter. Arabica also has lower caffeine content and is grown at higher altitudes, which enhances its quality.
3. Where is Arabica Coffee Grown?
Our Arabica coffee is grown in Belur Taluka, near Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka—India’s premier coffee region, where we’ve been cultivating it for over 35 years.
4. Why is Arabica Coffee Expensive?
Arabica coffee is more expensive due to its higher quality, specific growing conditions, and more labour-intensive cultivation compared to other varieties.
5. How Do You Make Arabica Coffee?
Grind freshly roasted beans just before brewing. Use a brewing method like a French press, pour-over, or filter coffee. Maintain a coffee-to-water ratio of about 1:15. Brew and enjoy it black or with milk and sugar for added flavour.
6. What Are the Health Benefits of Arabica Coffee?
Arabica is rich in antioxidants, like phenolic acids, which fight free radicals. It also contains caffeine and chlorogenic acid, which may reduce the risk of cavities.
7. Does Arabica Coffee Have Less Caffeine?
Yes, Arabica coffee beans have approximately 50% less caffeine than Robusta beans, making it a milder choice.
8. Is Arabica Coffee Low in Calories?
Black Arabica coffee has zero calories, making it ideal for those managing their weight. Calories increase only when milk or sugar is added.
9. What’s the Best Way to Store Arabica Coffee?
Store Arabica beans in an airtight container, away from heat, light, and moisture, to preserve their freshness and flavour.
