Product Description
Hulled Oat Groats are a favourite breakfast cereal. An excellent source of dietary fibre, they are high in protein and healthy fats.

Enjoy a deliciously wholesome, chewy, hot cereal or on the go snack that provides lasting energy all morning. Hulled Oat Groats are a favourite breakfast cereal and the perfect way to start your day. "Groat" is an old Scottish word that refers to cereal made from hulled oats. Though it does take a little longer to prepare than cut or rolled oats, the exceptional hearty flavour and chewy nature of the resulting porridge definitely make it well worth the effort.

Our selection process helps ensure that only the best quality oats are selected to progress to the cleaning and cutting process. This minimal processing retains all of the nutrients that people look for in their oats. Oats are a rich source of fibre, protein and magnesium. Not only are you able to eat them as oatmeal but they add health benefits to bread, bakes and protein shakes. All of that simply makes our oats a cut above the rest.

  • Preserved using dehydration and ozonation
  • Made from pure oats and thus gluten-free
  • Processed in a gluten-free facility
  • No cross-contamination with other grains containing gluten

We import whole grain Oats from Western Australia which is one of the highest quality producers of this healthy grain. These Oats are then washed, hulled and dried in India and further processed at our facilities.

1. What are oat groats?
Oat groats are the whole, hulled kernels of oats — the least processed form of oats that retain all the fibre, protein, and nutrients of the grain.

2. What is the difference between oat groats and steel-cut oats?
Steel-cut oats are oat groats that have been chopped into smaller pieces. Oat groats take longer to cook but offer a chewier texture and more nutrients.

3. How to cook oat groats overnight?
Soak oat groats in water overnight, then simmer them the next morning for 20–30 minutes for creamy, tender porridge.

4. How to cook oat groats in a pressure cooker?
Add 1 cup of oat groats with 3 cups of water in a pressure cooker. Cook for 15–20 minutes or until soft and chewy.

5. How to cook oat groats on the stovetop?
Combine 1 cup oat groats with 3 cups water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 35–40 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender.

6. How long should I soak oat groats?
For best results, soak oat groats for 8–12 hours (overnight). This helps reduce cooking time and improves digestibility.

7. Are oat groats gluten-free?
Yes, oat groats are naturally gluten-free and processed in our dedicated gluten-free facility to prevent cross-contamination.

8. Are oat groats healthier than rolled oats?
Yes, oat groats are the least processed and retain the bran, germ, and endosperm, making them richer in fibre, vitamins, and minerals than rolled oats.

9. Can oat groats help with weight management?
Oat groats are high in fibre and protein, helping you stay full longer, support metabolism, and reduce overeating.

10. What can I make with oat groats?
