Also called Scottish Oats or Irish Oats, Steel Cut Oats are whole oat groats that are chopped into two or three pieces using sharp steel blades. Unlike rolled oats, which are steamed and flattened, steel cut oats retain their dense, chewy texture and the endosperm making them less processed, more nutrient-dense, and lower in glycaemic index.
At Sattvic Foods, we select only the finest quality whole oats, which undergo a minimal cleaning and cutting process that preserves their natural fibre, protein, and magnesium content. The result is a hearty, wholesome breakfast grain that delivers lasting energy and comfort in every spoonful.
- Made from 100% pure whole oats, naturally gluten-free
- Unprocessed & chemical-free, retaining the natural bran and germ
- Processed in a gluten-free facility, avoiding cross-contamination
- Preserved through dehydration and ozonation, not heat or chemicals
- No preservatives, additives, or artificial flavourings
Oats, as we know them today, originate from the wild red oat, a plant which has origins in Asia. Oats were originally cultivated for medicinal purposes but have now become a food staple due to their numerous health benefits. We import whole grain Oats from Western Australia which is one of the highest quality producers of this healthy grain. These Oats are then washed, hulled and dried in India and further processed at our facilities.
Enjoy a deliciously wholesome, chewy, hot cereal or on the go snack that provides lasting energy all morning. Steel Cut Oats are a favourite breakfast cereal and the perfect way to start your day.
